Help your patients overcome financial barriers to cancer care by referring them to The APG Foundation. Together, we can help local cancer patients access needed prescription medications and prostheses through our patient assistance program.
Medication Assistance Program
If your patients face difficulty paying for the medications you prescribe, tell them about The APG Foundation’s programs to help with out-of-pocket prescription drug costs. They may receive up to $1,200 per year for chemotherapy drugs and other cancer-related medications. This financial assistance may help your patients with proper medication adherence.
Financial Help for Prostheses & Equipment
Connect your patient with financial assistance that helps cover the cost of the prostheses or cancer-related medical equipment you recommend for them. Your patients can apply for help with the cost of:
- Compression sleeves and stockings
- Mastectomy bras
- Prosthetics, including breast prostheses
- Wigs
They may receive:
- A one-time wig reimbursement of up to $300, and
- Up to $300 for prescribed prostheses per year
Who Qualifies
To apply for our patient assistance programs, patients must:
- Be a resident of Iowa
- Be receiving cancer treatment in Linn County or Johnson County, Iowa
- Have no other readily available means of paying for medications, prostheses or medical equipment
Choose a Patient Assistance Program
The APG Foundation offers two options for financial assistance for cancer patients:
- Immediate Medication Assistance – For people who need help paying for medications right away
- Medication and Prostheses Assistance – For people who need help paying for medications, prostheses, or qualifying medical equipment.
